Hey yall,

Just got done watching the webcast on Wal-Mart and I am kind of impressed with what they are doing, I wish they were doing more of that stuff here in the U.S. They are making alot of changes and improvements to their locations across other countries but the efforts here are minimal. Even though they are making some changes to already existing locations it seems they are doing more abroad. Anyway I though it was really interesting, ok, maybe not really interesting but it was interesting to listen to. I especially liked that they had pictures to show, not just standing up there and talking, like we are supposed to believe everything that they are doing without any kind of proof. Anyway good stuff, hope more gets done here in the U.S.

Other than that, not a whole lot going on here, jsut getting pumped up for graduation but before the light at the end of the tunnel, have to get through finals, blah!!! oh well, a necessary evil. Peace out till next week which will be the last blog for the semester.

So this week has been pretty uneventful, I havent watched any televsion so I wish that i could report on something that Ive seen that pertains to this class in any real way, just not the case. Im not kidding, I have nothing to talk about that is the least bit interesting, wow.........I do want to point out that this week has been super windy, so a great week for those with wind turbines, Id be interested to know just how much this weeks worth of energy they have produced.

Its gonna be a big push the nxt couple of weeks to try and finish up the semester, Im personally trying to get prepared for graduation, getting a little stressed out over my announcements, I havent mailed those out yet, kind of waiting on my mom, so really stressed out about that, trying not to be because I need to stay focused on schoolwork plus my work is getting busy also, so gone are the days when I got to leave at 2 in the afternoon. But its a good thing, especially in the line of work that Im in.

Well people Im so sorry that this is so boring, I haven much to say other than just trying not to lose my way the next couple of weeks. Good Luck to those seniors out there and I will be back again sometime this week and next, hopefully something way better to say.

Sorry guys that I have been away for so long. Been super busy but am going to try and make up for it this week. What I wanted to talk about today is super breif.

I'm aware that everyone is aware of the global warming crisis thats going on and its important to get the word out as to what can be done and I'm not disputing that but heres what Im getting tired of. Im getting tired of going to the movies and hearing about global warming in some form of fashion. I cant even watch a kids movie without it being in there. I went to go see Monsters vs. Aliens last night and I'll be darned if there wasnt something mentioned about it. I would like to go to a movie and it not be mentioned and to me its happening more in childrens movies and the reason why I think so is that more and more adults are watching these, kids or no kids, but more adults are watching these movies and so there is the chance for that to get sneaked into.

Like I said, Im not objecting the matter but Im tired of sitting through a movie that is agenda-based. Has anyone else noticed this or am I just really looking too hard to find something? That is my thought for the day, hopefully I will have another one tomorrow that I can share with my fellow bloggers. Untill then, good night.

Hello, everyone! Well I cant believe that Spring Break is already over, where did the time go. Ok, yall brace yoursleves, I went to.......Lubbock, Texas for a few days over my Spring Break, my aunt lives there and I like to go see her to get away. I drove, that is a long 6 hour drive but I discovered that it can be made in 5 going 80mph an hour and you know what else I found out, I can gas up in Lubbock, get a full tank and go 80 mph, I can get all the way to Council and Hefner without filling up my tank. That is super good!!!!!!!!! I usually have to fiill up around Yukon but not this time. I did buy some jeans and some t-shirts but not much else. My aunt and uncle are big wine drinkers, they can go through a bottle a night and I wonder if they recycle their bottles, I meant to ask but forgot. She did mention that in Lubbock, they do recycle their bottles and use them for a mulch like substance or substitute. I have seen it, it looks really neat, really harsh, real Southwest like, but I think its a great idea, that is the towns way of going "green".
So I got back on Tuesday and really just worked the rest of the week, I did help paint my parents new home that they bought, they were watching my neice and nephews while my sister was in Omaha for the week so that was good, I got to spend a couple days with them. My moms backyard needs some serious help so that is going to be me Summer project. Anyway, I guess now its time to satrt thinking about the last few weeks of school, I cant believe that graduation is less than 2 months away!!!!! There is so much to do. Dont loose focus seniors, not that much longer :)

This week has been so hectic, my little neice who is just 4 months old in 10 days is in the hospital, anyway. So I was doing some research on solar and wind power and I did learn that the best kind of wind power is that done off-shore, I thought that was kind of intersting. I dont agree with the stimulus bill that the Democrats just passed, I do hope that they actually use some money to invest in alternative means, such as wind and solar power. It almost seems dumb that we dont have this already. The sun is FREE!!!! and yeah it may not be sunny all the time and maybe it is considered to be a "back-up", but if places strategically across the United States then it should solve some problems. Im afraid thats all I have today, I will try to get more out next week.

I just got done reading some chapters of another book for one of my other classes and I'm really astounded but not surprised by what I did read. I read alot of some of the practices of farms and more importantly large-scale farming that is owned by huge corporations. There is alot of discussing about how these conditions are so unhealthy for humans and yet nothing is being done to stop these practices, I'm mostly talking about the CAFO's. Lots and lots of animals that are confined in small areas, some are inside and some are outside, but they eat, sleep and poop all in the same area. Anyway, this is not helping anything, our soils and waters are suffering from all this. Not a great way to get food on the table. I dont know that this falls in the realm of a sustainable business or not but as far as it being all that great for the environment, well its not.

I just hope for the sake of the people that are working in these places that something can be done.

Hello Everyone,
So I did my carbon footprint and WOW!!!! To live like me is to use like 4.6 planets or whatever. Thats alot and i think the reason for that is that I drive everywhere, I mean, everywhere!!! So I am definitely working towards trying to make that a little better, for one, I could be moving very soon, closer to my work, which I work on the Northwest side of the city, up by Gallardia...so I drive all over creation.

This class is really good so far, not really what I thought it was going to be, its more easy going, which I love but everything is going great.

As far as a sustainable business goes, my own personal work has that potential. I know that my boss wants to get me a company car the is eco-friendly. right now if I have errands to run then I drive a 4x4 Tahoe. He has even mentioned that he wants to get a better for the enviroment car, so thats a business. I think the good that it will do is that people will take notice that we are trying to better residents of the world and maybe that will promote business, i dont know. The benefits would be that possibly more business drummed up and it would save him money in gas. Ok well Im gonna sign off now, so untill next week.
